At a webinar hosted by Deputy Director-General Johanna Hill on 16 May, experts from the WTO, World Bank, Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Inter-American Development Bank discussed ways to help Latin America and the Caribbean take advantage of the opportunities offered by services trade. Building on “Trade in Services for Development” recently co-published by the WTO and World Bank, participants discussed possible elements of a work programme on trade in services to help developing economies from the region increase their participation in services trade.
