After opting to bat first, India posted a massive total 297 for 6 in 20 overs against Bangladesh. While this the second-best total by any team in T20I history, it is the biggest score by any Test-playing nation. India lost Abhishek Sharma early but Sanju Samson (111 off 47 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (75 off 35 balls) laid a solid platform with a 173-run partnership. Hardik Pandya (47 off 18) and Riyan Parag (34 off 13) kept India going at a brisk pace and the side eventually posted the mammoth total on the board.
