Logistics unicorn Porter posted a net profit of ₹229 Cr in the financial year ended March 31, 2026 (FY26), a 314% jump from ₹55.3 Cr reported in the year-ago period, driven to sharp topline growth.

During the fiscal year, the startup’s operating revenue increased 54% to ₹6,650 Cr from ₹4,306 Cr in the previous year. Including other income of ₹48.4 Cr, Porter’s overall revenue during the fiscal year stood at ₹6,698 Cr.

The startup earned a bulk of its operating income from its core business of good transportation services. While it earned ₹6,644 Cr from its core business, platform fees also contributed ₹5.2 Cr to its top line.

Founded in 2014 by Pranav Goel and Uttam Digga, Porter offers B2C and B2B logistic services, including enterprise-level goods movements and management, packers and movers service for relocation, and intercity courier services.

Porter entered the unicorn club in May 2025 after raising $200 Mn in a funding round led by Kedaara Capital and Wellington Management that valued the startup at $1.1 Bn to $1.2 Bn.

The startup claims to be serving over 30 Lakh customers – including 20 lakh MSMEs and 3 lakh driver-partners every month across 35 cities in India. It is aiming to increase coverage to the top 50 cities in India by 2030, while expanding its SME pool to 1 Cr.

Porter works on a revenue sharing model, charging up to 30% of the billed amount depending on the location, with the remainder going to its driver partners.

A bulk of its business is derived from MSMEs such as local furniture stores, hardware shops, ceramic and paint dealers, and small-scale city manufacturers that need to move materials intercity.

Where Did Porter Spend In FY26?

Porter’s expenses in FY26 increased 52% to ₹6,505.4 Cr from ₹4286.3 Cr reported in the year-ago period. Here’s a look at the top expenses of the logistics major:

Fleet Operator Costs: This was the largest expense for Porter in FY26, zooming 59% to ₹5,849.2 Cr from ₹3,679 Cr in FY25. It includes the cost incurred by the startup for running its vehicles.

Employee Benefit Expenses: The logistics startup spent ₹324 Cr under its head in FY26, up 13.6% from ₹285.2 Cr incurred in FY25.

Advertising & Sales Promotion: Porter spent ₹102.4 Cr on marketing in FY26, up 28% from ₹80 Cr in the year-prior.
