A91 Partners, Xponentia Sell SEDEMAC Shares Via ₹1,456.4 Cr Bulk Deals

Shortly after the IPO lock-in expiry, SEDEMAC’s institutional investors A91 Partners, Xponentia, NJRN Family Trust and Mace Pvt Ltd have cumulatively offloaded shares worth ₹1,456.38 Cr via multiple bulk deals today.
As per NSE data, A91 Partners, via holding entity A91 Emerging Fund II LLP, sold 16.10 Lakh shares of SEDEMAC at an average price of ₹3,010 apiece, netting ₹484.9 Cr. Xponentia sold 16.85 Lakh shares across three bulk deals to rake in ₹507.4 Cr.
Meanwhile, Mace Private Limited sold 7.28 Lakh shares worth ₹219 Cr, NJRN Family Trust offloaded 4.5 Lakh shares worth ₹135 Cr. Meanwhile, HDFC Life Insurance sold 3.63 Lakh but picked up 4.02 Lakh shares.
The shares that flooded the market were picked up by Government of Singapore (10.23 Lakh shares), Amansa Holdings (4.63 Lakh shares), Invesco Mutual Fund (3.54 Lakh shares), SBI Mutual Fund (5.25 Lakh shares), Monetary Authority of Singapore (2.37 Lakh shares), T Rowe Price International Discovery Fund (2.32 Lakh shares).
This is the second instance when these investors have lightened their holding in SEDEMAC after paring stake via its initial public offering (IPO) earlier this year. The IPO comprised solely of an offer for sale (OFS) component and saw SEDEMAC’s investors offload 80.43 Lakh shares, netting a cumulative ₹1,087 Cr from the issue.
Investors like Xponentia Capital Partners, Mace, IIT-Bombay’s SINE, 360 One, HDFC Life Insurance, among others, were some of the selling shareholders in the IPO. While A91 Partners netted the highest return at ₹325 Cr, Infosys cofounder Nandan Nilekani’s family office NRJN Family Trust made the highest gains at a 14.2X return on investment.
Founded in 2007 by IIT-B professor Shashikanth Suryanarayana and his students Pushkaraj Panse, Manish Sharma and Amit Dixit, SEDEMAC designs and manufactures electronic control systems for mobility and industrial applications. The mobility segment brings in nearly 86% of SEDEMAC’s revenue.
On the financial front, SEDEMAC Mechatronics’ net profit zoomed 95.1% to ₹33.3 Cr in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹17.1 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Operating revenue zoomed 42.5% to ₹309.8 Cr in the quarter under review as against ₹217.4 Cr in Q1 FY26.
Shares of the deeptech company ended the day 8.28% higher at ₹3,305.15 apiece on the BSE.
