InstaAstro Bags $12 Mn To Build AI Tools, Expand Online Pooja Services

Online astrology startup InstaAstro has raised $12 Mn (about ₹114.5 Cr) in a Series A funding round led by Singularity AMC and Artha Venture Fund, with founder Nitin Verma and Artha managing partner Anirudh Damani also participating in their personal capacities.
The startup plans to use the fresh capital to expand across regional and international markets, strengthen its pooja seva offerings, and grow its product business.
A significant share of the capital will also be used for AI-led product development. InstaAstro plans to introduce sentiment analysis to help astrologers offer more contextual consultations and expand multilingual support to improve consultation quality across languages.
Founded in 2021 by Verma, InstaAstro connects users with experts across astrology, tarot, numerology, kundali, vastu, and related disciplines. Besides live consultations, it offers pooja seva, astrology courses, and products such as accessories and gemstones.
The startup claims to have 12 Mn registered users and more than 5,000 verified experts across 183 countries. International markets, driven largely by the Indian diaspora, currently contribute around 25% of its revenue.
While Tier I cities account for a larger share of its domestic revenue, InstaAstro said its user base in Tier II and III cities is growing the fastest as astrology and religious services increasingly move online.
The latest fundraise follows InstaAstro’s ₹3.2 Cr seed round led by Artha Venture Fund in 2021 and its ₹18.5 Cr pre-Series A round, also led by Artha, in 2024. With the Series A infusion, the startup’s total funding stands at about $14.73 Mn.
InstaAstro said that it has crossed ₹200 Cr (about $21 Mn) in annualised revenue, while its operating revenue rose 113% to ₹111 Cr in FY26 from ₹52 Cr reported in the year-ago period. However, it did not disclose its profit or loss for FY26.
The round comes as the country’s faith commerce and digital astrology ecosystem is expected to become a $1.8 Bn opportunity by 2030. As a result, the number of D2C faith commerce startups has risen to over 900 over the past decade, while those operating in the larger spiritual tech ecosystem have grown to over 1,400.
The segment is also attracting increasing investor interest. Earlier this month, Astrotalk joined the unicorn club following an ESOP buyback at a valuation of $1 Bn.
Other players in the segment include Astroyogi, Teller Live, and Melooha. Meanwhile, startups such as Vama, AppsForBharat, DevDham, Utsav App, and Japam offer services ranging from virtual darshans and live-streamed pujas to religious products and doorstep prasad delivery.
