Luxury watch brand Rotoris has raised $8.5 Mn (₹80.9 Cr) in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures. The round also saw participation from 100Unicorns, Centricity, Diwakar Goel’s family office, Atul Singh’s family office, Adhiraj Burman’s family office, and Rannvijay Singha.

The D2C startup said it would deploy the fresh capital towards research and development, expanding production capacity, and growing its Rotoris House retail footprint in India and overseas, including Mumbai and New York.

Founded in 2025 by Bella Vita’s founder Aakash Anand, Wolfpack Labs’ founding partner Prerna Gupta, and Drink Free Advertising Media’s cofounders Anant Narula and Kunal Kapania, Rotoris aims to build “India’s first global watch brand”. It operates as a luxury watch brand, selling limited-edition watches through an invitation-only membership programme called the Rotoris Registry.

Rotoris assembles and tests its watches at its Rotoris Atelier in Gurugram, using machinery sourced from Switzerland. The startup said its assembly processes were established with guidance from Swiss horologists with experience at watchmakers and luxury brands such as Patek Philippe, IWC and Tiffany & Co.

“The design creates the desire, but the engineering, assembly and attention to detail earn the trust. We are building both sides of Rotoris with the same level of intention,” Gupta said.

The startup launched its first collection of 2,100 numbered watches in February 2026, which it claims sold out within days. Since then, nearly 1 Lakh people have registered for access to its collections, with around 40% of demand coming from international markets, including the US, Dubai and Australia.

Prior to this round, Rotoris bagged $3 Mn in a seed funding round co-led by Zerodha’s Nikhil Kamath, VC firms Venture Catalysts and 100Unicorns as well as actor Vivek Oberoi and content creator Tanmay Bhat, in December last year.

The country’s luxury watch market size is expected to grow at a 5.7% CAGR from $1.8 Bn in 2025 to $2.9 Bn by 2034. In this growing market, the analog watch segment holds the leading type share at 62.4% in 2025, while the men’s segment leads end user demand at 48.9%.

Rotoris bids to challenge the legacy luxury watch brands like Seiko, Tissot, Citizen, and Rado, who have established a strong foothold in the segment. Beside the Aakash Anand-led startup, Bangalore Watch Company and Jaipur Watch Company are also emerging contenders in the premium watch category.
