D2C Brand ‘House of Chikankari’ Raises ₹25 Cr To Expand Omnichannel Presence

D2C ethnic fashion brand ‘House of Chikankari’ has raised ₹25 Cr (about $2.6 Mn) in its Series A round led by Cap Alpha Ventures.

In a statement, the brand said it will use the capital to expand its product portfolio, strengthen its omnichannel presence with a push into offline retail, and grow its global footprint.

Founded in 2020 by mother-daughter duo Aakriti Rawal and Poonam Rawal, Delhi-based House of Chikankari specialises in authentic hand-embroidered chikankari apparel.

The startup aims to organise the largely unorganised chikankari sector by delivering high-quality handcrafted garments and restoring sustainable livelihoods for artisans, especially women. It blends traditional Lucknowi chikankari with contemporary designs and colours suited for modern consumers.

The brand sells its products via its website and app, as well as ecommerce marketplaces like Myntra., It claims its website and app see over 9 Lakh monthly sessions, with products now being shipped to more than 20 countries, including the US, Australia, and the UK.

House of Chikankari claims to empower more than 10,000 women artisans across India through its supply chain and said it achieved an ARR of ₹50 Cr in FY26, registering over 50% YoY growth while serving more than 2 Lakh customers.

The brand plans to double down on its growth through new product launches and expansion across sales channels over the next 24 months.

House of Chikankari competes with the likes of VivKala, House of Karo, Libas, among others.

The funding comes at a time when the D2C fashion segment is emerging as one of the most lucrative categories in the broader consumer market, disrupting traditional retail through digital-first models. India’s D2C fashion segment is projected to cross the $112 Bn mark by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 25%. It remains the largest and most funded segment within the broader D2C ecosystem, which is expected to reach a total addressable market of $300 Bn by the end of the decade.
