Cashfree Payments inched closer to the ₹1,000 Cr revenue mark in the fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26). The fintech soonicorn’s operating revenue zoomed 51.1% to ₹967 Cr in the fiscal under review as against ₹640.1 Cr in FY25

Buoyed by the rising top line, Cashfree Payments managed to trim its net losses by 23.1% to ₹118.5 Cr in FY26 compared to ₹154.1 Cr in the year ago period.

Including other income of ₹5.03 Cr, the startup’s total income stood at ₹972.5 Cr in the fiscal under review.

Founded in 2015 by Akash Sinha and Reeju Datta, Cashfree Payments offers digital payment solutions like payment gateway, cross-border payments, payout solutions and banking APIs. It claims to have served over 20 Lakh businesses since inception, processing transactions worth $80 Bn annually. Its clientele features the likes of MakeMyTrip, Zomato, CRED, Delhivery, among others.

Alongside payments, Cashfree Payments also offers a suite of user verification and KYC tools. It has also forayed into agentic payments, enabling AI agents to process invoices and conduct payments autonomously through its MCP server.

Backed by the likes of Y Combinator, Apis Partners, State Bank of India and KRAFTON, Cashfree Payments has raised nearly $94 Mn in funding to date.

Payment gateway commissions accounted for the biggest chunk of the startup’s operating revenue at ₹889.7 Cr in FY26, up 85% from ₹480.9 Cr in the year ago fiscal. Further, commission income from payouts and cross-border payments also stood at ₹69.4 Cr (up 25% YoY) and ₹8 Cr (versus nil in FY25), respectively. This is largely in line with the startup’s diversification strategy.

Not stopping there, cofounder and CEO Sinha told Inc42 earlier this year that Cashfree is exploring outward investment flows to enable Indian retail investors to buy foreign-listed stocks. Plus, the soonicorn is also building infrastructure for trade payments and recurring international business payouts.
