The public issue of edtech company Klassroom ended the second day with a subscription of 98%. As per BSE data, the IPO received bids for 17.22 Lakh shares against the 17.58 Lakh shares on offer.

Retail investors remained the highest bidder in the IPO, with the portion reserved for seeing a 1.32X oversubscription. These investors placed bids for 10.79 Lakh shares against the 8.18 Lakh shares earmarked for them. 

Meanwhile, interest from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was also healthy on the second day. These investors bid for 3.15 Lakh shares against the 4.64 Lakh shares reserved for them. This translates to 68% subscription of their quota. 

The portion reserved for non institutional investors (NIIs) ended the day slightly higher than where it started. These investors have now subscribed their quota by 67%, having placed bids for 3.18 Lakh shares against 4.76 Lakh shares today.

Edtech startup Klassroom’s BSE SME IPO continued to witness strong investor demand on the second day of bidding. As of 14:20 IST on Monday, investors placed bids for 15.99 Lakh shares against a total offer size of 17.58 Lakh shares on offer, translating to a 91% subscription. 

Retail investors have been the most bullish on the company’s public float since day one. These investors have already oversubscribed their quota by 1.2X, placing bids for 9.8 Lakh shares against 8.17 Lakh shares earmarked for them.

Trailing RIIs, qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) also subscribed their quota by 68%. These investors have bid for 3.15 Lakh shares against 4.64 Lakh shares reserved for them as of now.

Meanwhile, non institutional investors (NIIs) have gained pace, and subscribed their quota by 63% in the IPO till now. These investors have placed bids for 2.99 Lakh shares against 4.76 Lakh shares on offer.

Ahead of the IPO, Klassroom raised ₹11.1 Cr from six anchor investors yesterday (July 30). 

The public issue comprises a fresh issue of up to 19.89 Lakh shares and an offer for sale of up to 4.66 Lakh shares. At the upper end of the price band of ₹151-159, Klassroom is looking to raise ₹39 Cr via the IPO.

The edtech startup will deploy the net proceeds towards tech upgrades, content development, marketing and brand building, and debt repayment. 

On the financial front, Klassroom posted a net profit of ₹7.6 Cr in FY26, marking almost 162% increase from ₹2.9 Cr in FY25. Operating revenue stood at ₹23 Cr in the year under review, up 128% from around ₹10 Cr in the year prior.
