These are the best deals you can still get on MacBooks before Apple’s price increase fully kicks in
Apple just raised the prices on Macs and iPads in response to the rising costs of memory chips, right in the middle of Amazon Prime Day. That means existing discounts (even small ones) on Apple laptops like the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro just became significantly better deals.
As an example, the 13-inch MacBook Air M5 that used to start at $1,099 and is currently on sale for $949.99 (at Costco) will soon carry a full retail price of $1,299. That initial $150 discount just became a savings of $350 compared to Apple’s upcoming pricing.
There’s no guarantee how long existing sales will stick around, and no official word on when major laptop retailers will reset all their Mac pricing to reflect the increases. Best Buy and B&H Photo have already updated their pricing, but some older prices or even cheaper deals are lingering at Amazon. Costco lists its member-only deals as valid through June 26th or 27th.
If you were considering an Apple computer purchase, it might be best to make a move while you can. We’re outlining all the deals we can find below.
MacBook Neo deals
MacBook Neo

Where to Buy:
The base 256GB MacBook Neo is selling for $589.99 at Amazon and Costco (in the citrus color only). Normally that’d be a paltry $10 discount, but with Apple raising the Neo’s base price to $699 it’s now a savings of $110. The 512GB version with Touch ID is $689.99 (a $110 discount compared to the new price) at Amazon and Costco. Best Buy still has the base 256GB model and 512GB model for the old prices of $599 and $699, respectively. That at least saves you the $100 price increase for now.
MacBook Air deals
Apple MacBook Air (M5)

Where to Buy:
The base 13-inch MacBook Air with an M5 chip, 16GB of memory, and 512GB of storage is $949 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco. That’s such a better price than the $1,299 Apple is now charging, but you have to be a Costco member. The 13-inch Air with two more GPU cores and 1TB of storage is $1,149.99 ($449 off the new price) at Amazon The 15-inch Air with base 16GB / 512GB configuration is currently on sale for $1,149.99 (also $350 off its new price) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco.
As good as the Neo is, the Air is still Apple’s best all-around laptop. Its balance of performance, battery life, and portability is still unmatched. And for $949 or $1,149 you’re getting a laptop that should last you the better part of a decade for what’s sadly now such a good deal.
MacBook Pro deals
MacBook Pro (14-inch, M5, 2025)

Where to Buy:
The base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 chip is my personal favorite sweet spot of Apple’s lineup if you do frequent content creation but can’t fathom paying much higher M5 Pro / M5 Max prices. It’s on sale for $1,549.99 ($450 off Apple’s new MSRP) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco. The base model revised for 2026 comes with 16GB of RAM, 1TB of faster storage, and has lots of ports. It’s the ideal step up from a MacBook Air, but paying Apple’s new price of $1,999 makes it much less attainable than it was.
Apple MacBook Pro (M5 Pro / Max, 2026)

Where to Buy:
The higher-end M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pros come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Here’s a rundown of what each one’s base configuration starts at with Apple’s new pricing, and what you can currently buy it for:
- 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro (15-core CPU / 16-core GPU, 24GB, 1TB): $2,049.99 ($449 off the new price of $2,499) at Amazon
and Best Buy - 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro (18-core CPU / 20-core GPU, 24GB, 1TB): $2,549.99 ($449 off the new price of $2,999) at Amazon
- 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max (18-core CPU / 32-core GPU, 36GB, 2TB): $3,299.99 ($800 off the new price of $4,099) at Amazon
or $3,319 at Best Buy - 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Max (18-core CPU / 32-core GPU, 36GB, 2TB): $3,649.99 ($750 off the new price of $4,399) at Amazon
There are of course many different configurations of current MacBook Pros out there, with RAM and storage upgrades that climb to crazy amounts — too many to neatly list without it getting overwhelming. But even base configs for all of the above models are excellent.
Mac desktop deals
iMac with M4 (16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU)

Where to Buy:
The M4 iMac from 2024 is going from a starting price of $1,299 to $1,499. You can still get a base model with 8-core M4 chip, 16GB of memory, and 256GB SSD in various colors for $1,149.99 ($350 off the new price) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Costco. The 10-core M4 iMac with four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of just two is $1,349.99 ($350 off the new price) at Best Buy and Costco.
We may not all agree with why the 24-inch iMac still exists or who needs it, but it’s a lovely all-in-one computer. And the Mac Mini and Studio are impossible to find thanks to AI bros and their OpenClaw agents. Womp.
Update, June 26th: Revised copy where applicable to reflect that some retailers have transitioned to Apple’s new pricing. Removed or struck deals / old pricing that’s no longer available. Changed headline.
