Solinas Integrity Snags $5.5 Mn To Scale Robotics Solutions Across Global Markets

Robotics startup Solinas Integrity raised $5.5 Mn (₹52.4 Cr) in its Series A1 funding round co-led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office. The round also saw participation from Luthra Group, SVL-SME Fund managed by SBI Ventures Limited, Rainmatter Capital, and 8X Ventures Fund I.
The startup plans on using the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing capacity, build new products, strengthen its software infrastructure, and meet working capital needs.
Incubated at IIT Madras, Solinas was founded in 2018 by Divanshu Kumar, Moinak Banerjee, Krishnan Balasubramanian, Prabhu Rajagopal and Bhavesh Narayani.
The Chennai-based startup builds full-stack robotics solutions to detect defects and leakages in water and sewer pipelines. The startup’s offerings help in cleaning out manholes and septic tank.
The startup deploys its series of crawlers, Endobot and Homosep, across municipalities as well as enterprise customers, including an active international deployment with Dubai Municipality. With the fresh capital, the startup is now looking to deepen its international sales presence in international markets. It is also widening its product portfolio across water, sanitation and hygiene, industrial applications, and defence.
“As we enter our next phase, we have the leadership team as well as the backing of mission aligned institutional investors in place to build India’s largest tech company in the underground asset management space. From here, we’re also extending into adjacent, high stakes sectors — starting with Oil & Gas and Defence, where the same discipline around critical, unseen infrastructure applies,” CEO Kumar said.
Prior to this round, the startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Neev Fund II and Zerodha’s Rainmatter Capital, in May 2024.
The funding comes at a time when India’s deeptech sector is seeing a rising investor interest in robotics-led infrastructure solutions, particularly in water and sanitation.
Government programmes such as AMRUT, Jal Jeevan Mission, and the NAMASTE scheme were accelerating adoption of mechanised inspection and cleaning technologies, while channeling an estimated $1.5-2 Bn in annual public and multilateral investment into the segment.
