Shiprocket Soars Over 9% After Goldman Sachs Buys Shares Worth ₹52.7 Cr

Shares of ecommerce enablement platform Shiprocket rose as much as 9.3% to an intraday high of ₹156.81 on the BSE today, extending gains in their second trading session.
The stock subsequently pared some of its gains and was trading 5.6% higher at ₹151.62 at around 11:45 IST. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹11,014.8 Cr (about $1.1 Bn) at the time.
The surge came after Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio acquired 40.24 Lakh shares of Shiprocket through a bulk deal yesterday on the company’s listing day. The shares were purchased at a weighted average price of ₹131 apiece, taking the transaction value to around ₹52.7 Cr.
At its intraday high of ₹156.81, Shiprocket’s stock was trading 61.7% above the IPO issue price of ₹97.
Goldman Sachs’ IPO Bet
Goldman Sachs also participated in Shiprocket’s anchor allocation ahead of the IPO, with Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio picking up 36.07 Lakh shares at ₹97 apiece. Other Goldman Sachs-linked entities also acquired shares during the anchor round.
Shiprocket made its stock market debut yesterday at ₹131 on the NSE, a 35.1% premium over its IPO issue price. On the BSE, it listed at ₹129.50, a premium of 33.5%.
The stock closed its first trading session at ₹143.50 on the BSE, nearly 48% above the issue price. It touched an intraday high of ₹155.50 during the session.
The IPO was subscribed 99.38X, with QIBs subscribing to their reserved portion 122.8X.
Founded in 2011 by Saahil Goel, Gautam Kapoor, and Vishesh Khurana, Shiprocket operates an ecommerce enablement platform for small businesses, D2C brands, and retailers. Its offerings include shipping and fulfilment, analytics, marketing automation, and personalisation.
The company’s operating revenue rose 24% to ₹2,024.1 Cr in FY26 from ₹1,632 Cr in the previous fiscal year. However, its net loss widened to ₹79.2 Cr from ₹74.4 Cr in FY25.
