Proxgy Ropes In Cricketer Riyan Parag As Investor

Delhi NCR-based deeptech startup Proxgy has roped in Indian cricketer and IPL team Rajasthan Royals’ captain Riyan Parag on its cap table. The cricketer invested ₹2 Cr in the IoT solutions startup.
With the investment, Parag has joined the likes of cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, Zerodha cofounder Nikhil Kamath, actor Suniel Shetty, industrialist Vinod Duggar, and Manish Patel on the startup’s cap table.
Founded in 2020 by Pulkit Ahuja, Proxgy is a deeptech startup that builds smart wearables and safety products to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency for blue-collar workers.
The startup operates on a three-layered technology stack comprising an industrial IoT hardware layer, a software middleware layer, and a SaaS subscription layer. Proxgy currently serves clients across sectors like power, fintech, logistics, warehousing, construction, mining, oil and gas, and banking.
Here’re its core product offerings:
SmartHat: A smart safety helmet that helps detect hazards and monitors gas, temperature, and humidity.
ProHat & Hat+ Band: Devices that can turn a regular helmet into a smart helmet with features like cooling, 4G connectivity, and fall detection.
Lockator: A smart lock for logistics that offers GPS tracking, satellite connectivity, and geofencing.
Sleefe: A smart headset that lets workers communicate hands-free using video and audio.
AudioPod / AudioCube: A 4G-enabled payment device that gives instant audio alerts for transactions.
BirdBox: A portable device that provides 360-degree security surveillance.
Recently, Proxgy was selected by Maruti Suzuki for its fourth cohort of its Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program (MSIP), alongside startups such as AugurAI, Aatral, Zen Mobility, and Indus Vision. Through the programme, these startups will collaborate with Maruti Suzuki to co-create solutions across business functions.
Proxgy also featured on the debut season of Shark Tank India, where it secured ₹1 Cr in funding from Lenskart cofounder Peyush Bansal and BharatPe cofounder Ashneer Grover.
Overall, the startup has raised about $7 Mn in funding from the likes of Michael Dias & Associates, LetsVenture, Mach Tech Fund, among others, to date.
Proxgy competes with the likes of Jarsh Safety, KARAM, Mallcom, DesignX, and Twyn in the industrial IoT and smart safety solutions space.
