Nykaa Ropes In Ex-Instamart COO Ankit Jain To Helm Nykaa Now
Nykaa Jumps 2.5% After It Projects Mid-20% Revenue Growth In Q1

Ex-Swiggy Instamart COO Ankit Jain has joined beauty and personal care major Nykaa to lead its quick commerce business Nykaa Now.

According to his LinkedIn, Jain has joined Nykaa as a business head for Nykaa Now and an executive vice president for supply chain of Nykaa Beauty.

The onboarding comes about a month after he exited Swiggy amid a top-deck churn for Instamart. Alongside him, chief business officer (CBO) Hari Kumar also resigned while CEO Amitesh Jha announced today that he would be stepping down and would be replaced by Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha.

Prior to joining Swiggy back in May 2025, he held a SVP position at Walmart-backed ecommerce major Flipkart, where he spent nearly six years. Before that, he spent almost 15 years at Unilever.

While Instamart onboarded ex-OYO Gautam Swaroop as its CBO days after Kumar’s exit, it is yet to announce a replacement for Jain.

Jain’s appointment comes as Nykaa aims to double down on quick commerce with Nykaa Now. In the ongoing fiscal year FY27, the BPC major plans to focus on marketing the offering more aggressively, Anchit Nayar, head of the company’s beauty ecommerce business, had said in the company’s Q4 FY26 earnings call.

Back then, Nykaa Now had 75-80 dark stores covering almost 90% of pincodes in the top 7 metro cities. Nayar noted that a “meaningful percentage” of Nykaa’s orders in the top cities were already being delivered via Nykaa Now.

Notably, Nykaa’s stock has been on a bull run ahead of its Q1 FY27 disclosures. In a filing with the exchanges earlier, the company said that it was expecting the June quarter to be one of its best-performing quarters yet, driven by growth in its beauty vertical and its fashion business picking up. While the beauty business is expected to see growth of over 25% in terms of net sales value (NSV), Nykaa projects over 50% NSV growth in fashion.

The company also announced its FY30 growth strategy at its ‘Annual Investor Day 2026’ last month, outlining plans to achieve 2-3X revenue growth, 4-5X EBITDA growth, and over $5 Bn in gross merchandise value (GMV) in the next few years.

Shares of Nykaa were trading 1.06% higher at ₹330.05 at 14:52 IST.
