Nua Raises $50 Mn To Expand Women’s Wellness Portfolio, Distribution

Omnichannel femtech startup Nua has raised $50 Mn (around ₹472 Cr) in its Series C funding round led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital.
The round also saw participation from existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures. It comprised a mix of primary capital and secondary transactions, offering partial exits to Kae Capital, Lightbox VC, and existing angel investors.
Nua plans to deploy the fresh capital for brand building, expanding its reach and distribution network, and strengthening its R&D capabilities as it builds a wider women’s wellness product pipeline.
The latest fundraise comes after Nua raised ₹35 Cr (about $3.9 Mn) in a pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025. With the latest round, Nua’s total funding has crossed $65 Mn.
The development comes months after Inc42 reported that Nua was in talks to raise $20 Mn to $25 Mn in its Series C round, with Peak XV Partners leading the round. The final round size was larger due to the inclusion of secondary transactions.
Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran and Abhishek Ramanathan, Nua offers women’s wellness products across period care, maternity care, skincare, and intimate care. Its portfolio includes sanitary pads, cramp relief products, intimate washes, and period nutrition mixes, among others.
The Mumbai-based startup sells its products through its website and ecommerce and quick commerce platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and Zepto. It has also expanded into digital offerings with the Nua Period Tracker app and SecretKeeper chat.
Nua claims to serve more than 3 Mn women and girls every month.
CEO and cofounder Ramamchandran said Nua’s annualised revenue run rate increased fivefold to ₹500 Cr from ₹100 Cr over the past 24 months while remaining profitable.
The startup competes with the likes of Plush, Azah, Pee Safe, and Carmesi.
The funding comes amid growing investor interest in India’s femtech and women’s wellness segment, driven by rising incomes and greater consumer awareness.
For instance, Pee Safe raised $32 Mn from OrbiMed earlier this year to expand its offline retail footprint, strengthen brand-led marketing and scale across quick commerce and marketplaces earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Healthfab raised ₹20 Cr (about $2.4 Mn) in a Series A round in May to expand its menstrual wellness product portfolio.
India’s femtech market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 15.7% between 2026 and 2034 to reach $5.5 Bn by the end of the period, according to IMARC Group.
