Digital lender Moneyview made a stellar stock market debut today, with its shares listing at ₹55.6 on the BSE, a premium of 64% over the issue price of ₹34. 

On the NSE, the stock listed at ₹55, marking a premium of nearly 62% over the issue price. Moneyview’s market capitalisation at the time of listing stood at ₹9,788.6 Cr (about $1.01 Bn) on the BSE. 

Moneyview had fixed the IPO price band at ₹32-₹34 per share, valuing the company at ₹5,985 Cr ($624 Mn). The company’s ₹1,092 Cr IPO comprised a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹750 Cr and an OFS of up to 10.05 Cr shares. 

The IPO was fully subscribed within hours on the first day of bidding, and closed with an oversubscription of 98.46X. QIBs oversubscribed their quota by 227.45X. 

The IPO was anchored by investors like SBI Mutual Funds, Mutual Fund, Goldman Sachs, who were allotted 9.63 Cr equity shares for a total investment of ₹327.5 Cr. 

Founded in 2014 by Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, Moneyview offers unsecured personal loans to underserved and new-to-credit borrowers. It partners with banks and NBFCs to offer loans via its app and website, and issues loans in-house as well via its NBFC arm, Whizdm Finance. 

The IPO will help it strengthen its NBFC arm, with a third of the fresh capital raised via the IPO being earmarked for investment in Whizdm. Besides, Moneyview also intends to use ₹325 Cr of the fresh issue proceeds to support loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements. 

On the financial front, Moneyview’s consolidated net profit jumped 2.6X to ₹173.8 Cr in Q1 FY27 from ₹67.2 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Its operating revenue rose 50.2% to ₹1,041.1 Cr from ₹693 Cr during the period.

For FY26, Moneyview’s operating revenue grew to ₹3,351.2 Cr from ₹2,339.1 Cr in FY25. Its consolidated profit increased marginally to ₹242.7 Cr from ₹240.3 Cr.
