Digital lender Moneyview’s IPO was oversubscribed 31.41X by 13:45 IST on the final day of bidding today. The public issue received bids for 730.28 Cr Cr shares against 23.25 Cr shares on offer.

As per BSE data, the highest number of bids have come from non institutional investors (NIIs) till now, who have placed bids for 389.93 Cr shares against the 5.02 Cr shares earmarked for them. This translates to a 69.33X oversubscription of their quota. 

Within the category, the portion reserved for investors bidding between ₹2 Lakh and ₹10 Lakh was oversubscribed 54.56X. Meanwhile, the portion for NII bids exceeding ₹10 Lakh was subscribed 76.72X. 

Following NIIs, qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) have oversubscribed their quota by 27.55X till now, placing bids for 179.30 Cr shares against the 6.50 Cr shares reserved for them. 

Retail investors have also oversubscribed their quota by 13.74X so far, placing bids for 161.05 Cr shares against the 11.72 Cr shares reserved for them. There was no quota reserved for employees.

Important to highlight that the lending tech company’s ₹1,092 Cr IPO was completely subscribed within hours of opening on Thursday (September 24).  The company had fixed the IPO price band at ₹32-₹34 per share, valuing the company at ₹5,985 Cr ($624 Mn).

The company’s shares are scheduled to list on the stock exchanges on October 1 (Thursday). As per a report by ET, Moneyview’s grey market price had climbed to 41% earlier today, translating to an estimated listing price of ₹48.

The public issue comprises a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹750 Cr and an OFS of up to 10.05 Cr shares, amounting to around ₹341.7 Cr at the upper end of the price band.

Cofounders and promoters Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, along with investors such as Accel, Tiger Global Management, Ribbit Capital, and DI Investment, are selling shares through the OFS. 

Ahead of the IPO, Moneyview raised ₹327.5 Cr from anchor investors like SBI Mutual Funds, Mutual Fund, Goldman Sachs allotting 9.63 Cr equity shares at ₹34 apiece.

Moneyview intends to use ₹325 Cr of the fresh issue proceeds to support loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements. Another ₹250 Cr will be infused into its NBFC subsidiary Whizdm Finance to augment its capital base, while the remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

On the financial front, Moneyview’s consolidated net profit jumped 2.6X to ₹173.8 Cr in Q1 FY27 from ₹67.2 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Its operating revenue rose 50.2% to ₹1,041.1 Cr from ₹693 Cr during the period.

For FY26, Moneyview’s operating revenue grew to ₹3,351.2 Cr from ₹2,339.1 Cr in FY25. Its consolidated profit increased marginally to ₹242.7 Cr from ₹240.3 Cr due to exceptional losses of ₹206.7 Cr.
