Kunal Kapoor, Ketto Cofounders Launch Healthtech Startup MetaGO

Actor Kunal Kapoor has partnered with crowdfunding platform Ketto’s cofounders Varun Sheth and Zaheer Adenwala to launch healthtech startup MetaGO.
MetaGO is a healthtech startup that provides a doctor-led weight management programme, combining diagnostic tests, teleconsultations, personalised nutrition coaching and prescription GLP-1 medications for people with obesity and related metabolic conditions.
“Fourteen years of building Ketto teaches you to see patterns. We met thousands of families at some of the hardest moments of their lives, often after years of diabetes, obesity, or other metabolic conditions had progressed. Over time, it became clear that many of those conditions had begun developing years before anyone needed medical treatment. That’s what led to MetaGO,” Kapoor said.
The startup focuses on early, continuous intervention rather than short-term treatment. Every user begins the programme with a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation tracking over 35 biomarkers. Then, specialists, including endocrinologists and cardiologists, design a personalised treatment plan based on an individual metabolic profile.
Notably, the startup recently conducted a free metabolic health camp providing blood tests and physician consultations for the Mumbai Police as part of its initial community outreach. It plans to increase awareness around metabolic health by conducting more such initiatives to other professional groups.
MetaGO falls into the emerging crop of healthtech 2.0 startups. These ventures focus more on extending longevity, preventing illness, and optimising healthspan. Some, like MetaGO and FOXO, offer personalised treatment.
Others focus on health-first wearables, such as Temple, backed by Eternal founder Deepinder Goyal, and Sychedelic, building AI-powered headphones for wellness.
These new-age healthtech companies are increasingly attracting investor attention as well, particularly due to the incorporation of AI.
For instance, 4baseCare, a genomics startup that develops personalised cancer treatments, recently closed a ₹128 Cr Series B round. Meanwhile, Practo cofounder and CEO Shashank ND launched a new preventive healthcare intelligence startup Cent earlier this year that raised $5 Mn in seed funding.
