KisaanSay Raises ₹34 Cr To Scale Distribution

KisaanSay has secured ₹34 Cr ($3.7 Mn) in its Series A funding round led by NABVENTURES managed AgriSURE Fund (Agri Fund for Startups & Rural Enterprises) to strengthen supply chain efficiencies. Besides, the fresh capital will be deployed to scale distribution, marketing and hiring.
Founded in 2023 by Nitin Puri, Manoj Karki and Vaishali Puri, KisaanSay claims to be a “direct-from-origin” food brand that connects Indian farmers directly with consumers by sourcing and selling authentic farm products such as rice, ghee, oils, spices, dry fruits and grains.
The startup works with farmer collectives and farmer producer companies (FPCs) across India to procure native agricultural produce and sell it through its own website, ecommerce marketplaces and retail channels.
KisaanSay operates on a co-brand and co-profit partnership model with farmer collectives, and today works with multiple farmer groups representing tens of thousands of farmers across India.
With a portfolio of over 100 SKUs spanning 12 categories, KisaanSay distributes these products through an omnichannel network including its D2C platform and offline retail in markets such as Delhi NCR.
The funding for KisaanSay has materialised amid a trend of Indian affluent consumers moving towards more health-oriented alternatives for consumption.
A new wave of D2C food startups is stepping in to fill this demand gap by offering minimally processed and origin-based products to consumers. These brands typically focus on premium positioning, transparency in sourcing in a bid to find resonance with their target audience.
Investor interest in the space has been visible through several recent funding rounds. For instance, farm-to-fork food brand Anveshan raised about ₹48 Cr in 2025. Besides, Two Brothers Organic Farms raised ₹110 Cr to expand its organic food portfolio.
At the heart of this is the rapidly growing Indian D2C segment, which is projected to become a $300 Bn market opportunity by 2030 on the back of continued innovation and the emergence of new players across categories.
