Key Startup Funding Highlights Of The Week
- Clean tech saw the greatest sectoral capital infusion of $82 Mn primarily at the behest of Euler Motors $73.6 Mn Series E haul. Besides, Pranos Fusion and Canvaloop also lapped up fresh investments this week.
- Ecommerce took the lead in terms of total deals. Five ecommerce startups raised a total of $44 Mn this week.
- Seed funding decreased 73% week on week to $3.5 Mn across six deals.
- Alteria Capital and Blume Ventures were the most active investors of the week, backing three startups apiece.
Fund Updates For The Week
- Early stage VC firm Pentathlon Ventures marked the final close of its second B2B tech fund at ₹255 Cr, marking a 43% undersubscription from target corpus of ₹450 Cr. With the fund, the VC firm aims to back 16-20 early stage B2B SaaS startups.
- Eternal backer Info Edge has allocated an investment of ₹250 Cr in its new early stage startup investment fund, A88 Fund I.
Startup IPO Updates Of The Week
- The SEBI cleared the confidentially filed draft IPO papers of education-focused SaaS startup Meritto. The company’s IPO is likely to comprise a fresh issue of shares worth in the range of ₹500-600 Cr and an offer for sale component that will see investors like Info Edge offload parts of their stake.
- Cashify picked ICICI Securities, JM Financial and Nomura as bankers for its ₹1,500-₹1,800 Cr IPO. The public listing will consist of fresh issues as well as offer for sale (OFS).
Other Developments Of The Week
- Ride- hailing company Namma Yatri acquired Netherlands-based mobility startup Automicle to enter the European market in an undisclosed financial deal.
- Inc42 learnt that quick pharma startup Plazza is in talks to raise $6 Mn in a fresh funding round from new investor Z47 as well as existing backers All In Capital and Better Capital.
- AI startup SarvamAI is reportedly in talks to raise up to $250 Mn in a fresh funding round from Nvidia, Accel and HCLTech at a valuation of around $1.5 Bn.
