Fractal Overhauls Operations, Appoints Three New AI Chiefs

Listed AI and advanced analytics startup Fractal is overhauling its operations. In a filing with the exchanges yesterday, the company said that it is revamping its “operational model” and restructuring itself around enterprise AI.
The company also announced a top-level reshuffle to support the new structure. Firstly, the AI startup announced the departure of chief growth officer Shailendra Pratap Singh, who is stepping down from his role citing “personal reasons”. His resignation will come into effect from May 1.
The company also appointed Kunal Jain as head of AI workforce transformation, while Suraj Amonkar will take over the reins as company’s chief AI research officer. Senior Fractal executive Matthew Gennone has been given the additional role of chief commercial officer and CEO of Cogentiq, added the company.
Chief design officer Raja Rajeswari Aradhyula will now step down and take over the post of chief advisor for Fractal’s newly-formed AI work and workforce division. With this, she will cease to be a part of the senior management of the company.
All four appointments came into effect from April 30.
The appointments come as the AI major is moving to a new structure. The company plans to transition to the revised model in a phased manner over the coming quarters. Currently, Fractal sees no “material one-time financial impact” arising solely from the reorganisation.
Under the new model, Fractal plans to focus on three new “pillars”, spanning process, technology and people, to capture the AI opportunity:
- AI-led Transformation (AIT): This vertical will work to deliver “measurable business outcomes” and develop enterprise AI solutions for business workflows across sectors like consumer packaged goods, healthcare, technology, media and banking, financial services, and insurance.
- AI Foundations (AIF): This arm will focus on building the company’s backbone for AI at scale, including building the ontological layer of knowledge, agentic AI governance, responsible AI, and driving higher accuracy of models.
- AI Work & Workforce (AIW): This pillar will look to “redesign” work, roles, and workforce capability for the AI-native enterprise.
In a statement, Fractal added that its enterprise agentic AI platform Cogentiq will operate as the common platform layer underpinning these three pillars and all other client offerings. Meanwhile, as part of the operational overhaul, the company plans to upgrade Europe as a “fully-integrated” geography with its own dedicated leadership to drive growth.
“The revised operating model is intended to strengthen the company’s alignment with the evolving enterprise AI market and improve execution across its offerings, geographies, and commercial engine…,” said Fractal in a statement.
Founded in 2000, Fractal offers analytics and consulting services for enterprises like Google and Wells Fargo. It also earns revenue from licensing and subscriptions for its AI platforms such as Cogentiq, Iqigai and Kalaido.ai.
The company made a muted debut on the exchanges earlier this year. Its shares listed at ₹876 on the NSE, a discount of 2.7% to the issue price of ₹900. On the BSE, the stock listed flat at ₹900.
The AI analytics company’s public issue comprised a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹1,023.5 Cr and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component of up to ₹1,810.4 Cr.
On the financial front, Fractal reported a 8.5% jump in its net profits to ₹100.1 Cr in Q3 FY26 compared to ₹92.2 Cr in the year ago quarter. Meanwhile, revenue from operations grew nearly 21% to ₹854.4 Cr in the quarter under review from ₹707.2 Cr in Q3 FY25.
