Fleet Management Startup Carrum Mobility Raises $10 Mn From Uber

B2B fleet management startup Carrum Mobility has raised $10 Mn (about ₹96 Cr) from ride-hailing major Uber as a part of its Series B funding round. 

The fundraise marks the second tranche of Uber’s investment in Carrum, following the startup’s $7 Mn funding round in January 2026. 

Carrum plans to use the fresh capital to expand across existing and new markets, strengthen its technology platform, scale operations, and grow its team. The funding will also support the expansion of its core mobility business and Uber Black services across India. 

The startup said it has nearly doubled the scale of its business since the previous funding round.

Founded in 2024 by Karan Jain, Carrum operates a technology-led fleet management platform focused on CNG and electric vehicles. Jain previously founded self-drive car rental startup Revv, which was acquired by CarDekho Group.

Carrum currently operates a fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata. It plans to launch operations in Chennai in September 2026. 

The startup has also onboarded more than 18,000 driver partners across its network. 

“Uber’s continued investment is a positive reflection of the business we’ve built and the opportunity ahead. As on date, we have nearly doubled the scale of our business since the last funding round while remaining consistently profitable,” Jain said.

Carrum claims to have remained profitable since its first month of operations. The startup said it is currently operating at an annualised revenue run rate of around ₹400 Cr.

CarDekho Group, which backed Carrum in 2024, is also an early equity investor in the startup. Its debt investors include Trifecta Capital, Girnar Capital, Shriram Finance, and Northern Arc.

For Uber, the partnership is expected to bring more premium vehicles onto its platform and support the expansion of Uber Black across Indian cities.
