Exclusive: CodeKarma In Talks To Raise $6 Mn From Prosus, Accel

Enterprise tech startup CodeKarma is in talks to raise $5 Mn to $6 Mn in a fresh funding round, sources told Inc42.

The round will be led by existing investors Prosus and Accel, the sources added. The discussions are ongoing, and the contours of the transaction could change.

Queries sent to CodeKarma and Accel did not elicit a response until the time of publishing this story. A Prosus spokesperson declined to comment on market speculation. 

The development comes a little over a year after CodeKarma raised $2.5 Mn in its pre-seed round, co-led by Prosus, Accel, and Xeed Ventures. SenseAI Ventures and Stargazer Ventures also participated in the round.

Founded in 2024 by Anantharam Vanchi Prakash and Priyanka Nahata, CodeKarma operates a production intelligence platform that maps the behaviour of software in production directly to its underlying code.

Prakash, a former Amazon and Flipkart executive, is the startup’s cofounder and CEO, while Nahata serves as its cofounder and CTO.

The Bengaluru-based startup’s platform helps developers and AI agents identify active and dormant code, detect performance issues, understand dependencies between different parts of a software system, and assess the risks associated with changing code.

CodeKarma currently offers four products. KarmaLens provides production insights within developers’ integrated development environments, while KarmaDomain maps dependencies across microservices and APIs. KarmaPulse gives engineering leaders an overview of operational issues, and KarmaIQ supplies production context to AI coding agents.

During its previous fundraise, CodeKarma said it planned to deploy the capital to strengthen its AI capabilities, enter new enterprise verticals, expand its presence in the US, hire employees, and invest in product development.

Prakash had also said that the startup was working towards building autonomous software agents that could go beyond identifying problems in code and act on fixing them.

The funding talks come amid growing investor interest in startups building software-development tools and infrastructure for the AI era.

In July, AI software engineering startup Vorflux raised $15 Mn in a seed funding round led by Y Combinator. The same month, AI software creation startup Emergent raised $130 Mn at a valuation of $1.5 Bn.

Meanwhile, Inc42 exclusively reported in June that vibe-coding startup Rocket was in talks to raise fresh funding in a SIG-led Series A round. Accel, which is expected to participate in CodeKarma’s proposed round, is also an existing investor in Rocket.

Investor interest extends to the wider AI ecosystem. Indian AI startups raised $676 Mn across 57 deals in the first half of 2026, more than four times the $162 Mn raised across 30 deals during the corresponding period last year.
