Healthcare startup Superhealth has appointed former Dunzo cofounder Dalvir Singh Suri as its head of operations as it looks to scale its hospital network across India.

In his new role, Suri will build the systems, teams, and operating processes required to replicate Superhealth’s care model across its upcoming hospitals. Superhealth plans to expand its network to 100 multispeciality hospitals over the next five to seven years.

Suri spent more than eight years at hyperlocal delivery startup Dunzo, where he helped build and scale its operations. Dunzo, once one of India’s most prominent quick commerce startups, shut its operations and was admitted into insolvency last year

“I am really excited to have Dalvir join our mission and bring his unique expertise in building seamless digital and physical operations with obsessive focus on customer experience as we scale Superhealth from our first hospital to 100 hospitals across the country,” Superhealth founder and CEO Varun Dubey said.

Suri said the next challenge for Superhealth would be to scale its hospital experience “with speed and discipline”.

Founded in 2024 by Dubey, Manoj Kumar, and Dr Alexander Kuruvilla, Bengaluru-based Superhealth operates a multispeciality hospital built around fixed pricing, full-time salaried doctors, and digitally managed clinical and operational workflows.

Dubey previously served as the chief revenue officer of Apollo Hospitals and the chief marketing officer of Ola Electric. Kuruvilla, Superhealth’s chief medical officer, has held leadership roles at Apollo Hospitals and Narayana Hrudayalaya.

Superhealth COO Kumar was earlier part of the founding team at healthtech unicorn Practo. Dubey and Kuruvilla also previously worked at Practo as its head of marketing and chief strategy officer, respectively.

Notably, Practo cofounder and CEO Shashank ND has also launched a new startup in the precision healthcare space, Cent, which has raised $5 Mn in seed funding so far.

Superhealth currently operates its flagship hospital in Bengaluru, which opened about 10 months ago. The startup claims to offer zero waiting time, fixed all-inclusive pricing, and quicker discharge through its technology-led operating model.

Superhealth is backed by investors including Panthera Peak Capital and the family office of former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni.

Suri is the second startup cofounder to take up an operational leadership role at another venture this week. Yesterday, quick home services startup Snabbit appointed Klydo cofounder Pradeep Yadav as its head of operations, shortly after Klydo paused its business to explore a pivot.
