Hospitality-focused AI startup Dextr AI has raised $6.7 Mn (about ₹64.2 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Foundation Capital.

The startup plans to deploy the fresh capital towards product development, team expansion, and scaling its AI deployments across global hospitality markets, including India.

Founded in 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI builds specialised AI agents for hospitality businesses. Its platform automates tasks across reservations, guest management, back-office operations, staffing, sales, and marketing.

Dextr said it serves hundreds of properties across the US, Canada, the UK, and other European markets, including franchised properties operating under brands such as Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western, and IHG.

The startup claims to process more than 1 Mn interactions every month. It also said its platform collects payments through voice-based reservations, processing tens of millions of dollars monthly on behalf of customers.

As part of its India expansion plans, Dextr is targeting operational gaps such as missed calls, unanswered enquiries, staffing shortages, and unattended guest requests.

Dextr follows what it calls a “forward-deployed” model, under which its AI strategists and engineers work directly with hospitality businesses to identify tasks for automation and integrate its agents into their operations.

Its Daisy agent handles voice-based reservations, booking changes, and upselling in more than 90 languages. Alfred manages guest requests, complaints, and contactless check-ins, while Manny handles staff rostering, task allocation, productivity tracking, and potential overtime.

Another agent, Cosmo, supports direct bookings through AI-powered search, targeted marketing campaigns, and efforts to bring back past guests.

Dextr currently has a team of nearly 20 employees, spread across India and the US, including AI product builders, strategists and engineers.

For Elevation, Dextr is another investment in startups automating customer interactions and business workflows. In October last year, the investor led GreyLabs AI’s ₹85 Cr Series A round, which also saw participation from Z47 and angel investors. GreyLabs focuses on financial institutions, offering voice agents and speech analytics to automate contact centre operations.

Elevation also led a $6 Mn funding round in Adopt AI, which helps users automate software workflows through text commands. These investments span both industry-specific applications, such as hospitality and financial services, and tools designed to automate workflows across businesses.
