AI-powered cybersecurity startup Innefu Labs has raised $30 Mn (about ₹285.2 Cr) in its Series B funding round led by Singapore-based growth equity firm Panthera Growth Partners.

The funding, which included a mix of primary and secondary transactions, comes as the startup prepares for an initial public offering (IPO) and looks to expand its presence in international markets following its recent expansion into the Middle East.

Founded in 2010 by Tarun Wig and Abhishek Sharma, Innefu provides cybersecurity software for defence, intelligence, law enforcement, revenue intelligence and enterprise customers.

The startup said the fresh capital will be used to accelerate global expansion, strengthen R&D, and build sovereign AI capabilities.

As part of its growth plans, Innefu intends to further develop its agentic AI platform, establish a dedicated robotics and physical AI division, and invest in sovereign AI infrastructure, including specialised language models designed for high-security environments.

The startup said it is seeing strong momentum across defence, intelligence, law enforcement and revenue intelligence projects, including a growing pipeline of contracts worth more than ₹100 Cr.

Over the years, the startup has built and deployed several large-scale intelligence and security platforms. These include India’s first National Terrorism Data Fusion Centre, intelligence fusion centres, predictive policing systems and AI-powered intelligence platforms used by defence and law enforcement agencies.

Prior to this round, the startup raised about $2 Mn from India Nivesh in 2017.

The funding comes at a time when investors are increasingly backing startups building AI-powered security and sovereign technology platforms. Last year, cybersecurity startup Safe Security raised $70 Mn in its Series C round led by Avataar Venture Partners to build what it called a “Cyber AGI” platform for enterprise security.

Around the same time, AI-driven cyber threat prediction startup CloudSEK also raised $19 Mn across its Series A2 and B1 rounds.

The growing investor interest comes as governments and enterprises worldwide increase spending on cybersecurity and sovereign AI infrastructure.

Earlier this week, Anthropic expanded access to its cybersecurity-focused AI model Mythos to organisations across more than 15 countries, including India, amid growing concerns around software vulnerabilities and critical infrastructure security.

Indian agencies, financial institutions and technology companies have also been evaluating AI-driven security tools as the government pushes for greater control over critical digital infrastructure.
