Omnichannel furniture and home furnishings brand Chapter Homes has raised ₹63 Cr ($6.6 Mn) in a strategic funding round through a mix of debt and equity. The fundraise valued the startup at nearly ₹1,000 Cr (around $106 Mn).

The round saw participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian Tanmay Bhat and a clutch of family offices. The brand claims to have also received further commitments from undisclosed backers for a future fundraise.

In a statement, the startup said that it plans to utilise the fresh capital to strengthen product development, expand into newer categories and invest in technology and brand building. A chunk of the capital will also be used to scale its omnichannel distribution network and set up its initial offline footprint.

“… Consumers are increasingly looking for better-designed products, trusted quality, strong functionality and a superior overall experience – online and in store – and we see a meaningful opportunity to build for those needs. That is why we are building focused brands for each category across home and kitchen,” said Chapter Homes cofounder Nitin Chugh.

Founded in 2025 by former PharmEasy executives Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal, Chapter Homes claims to be building multiple consumer brands across categories for home and kitchen needs of Indian consumers. It has already launched a home furnishing brand under HOKIPO.

Going forward, it plans to leverage synergies across supply chain, content, technology and distribution to expand into adjacent categories such as cookware, home décor and small kitchen appliances. The startup also said that it plans to leverage AI across cataloguing and demand forecasting to product assortment and customer retention to launch faster and rein in costs.

Notably, Chapter Homes is not the first home improvement startup to emerge from the PharmEasy stable. Earlier this year, AllHome, founded by PharmEasy cofounders, raised ₹200 Cr in its Series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.

The fundraise comes amid continued investor interest in the home improvement and home decor segment. In August, home decor marketplace Vaaree raised ₹65 Cr in its Series A round co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures. Prior to this, D2C homeware startup HomeEssentials also raised ₹70 Cr in its pre-Series B round led by 360 ONE Asset.

Even the adjacent kitchen tech segment is seeing healthy adoption among masses due to LPG shortages. Many Indians are now buying induction cooktops, AI-powered smart appliances and electric rice cookers and air fryers. It is this segment that Chapter Homes plans to target going forward.

But for now, Chapter Homes is eyeing a piece of the Indian home furnishing and decor market,  which is projected to become a $45.5 Bn opportunity by 2031.
