Building materials quick commerce startup Fixxly has raised $5.5 Mn (₹52.6 Cr) in a seed funding round from Accel, Fireside Ventures and Lightspeed India Partners.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its technology platform and scale operations ahead of its commercial launch on September 1, 2026. Fixxly will initially launch its services in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities.

Founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly is building an AI-driven quick commerce platform for construction materials, including plywood, paint, electricals, lighting, hardware and plumbing supplies.

The startup claims it will deliver these products to construction and home improvement sites within 30 minutes through a network of dark stores.

Fixxly is targeting electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, civil contractors, interior designers, contractors and homeowners. It aims to address delays caused by the fragmented building materials procurement system, which is largely dependent on local dealers and typically designed for planned or next-day purchases.

Fixxly said its AI-powered supply network will match orders with real-time inventory availability, customer proximity and local demand to fulfil urgent purchases.

Prior to starting Fixxly, Bhojani cofounded home interior brand DesignCafe, which was acquired by HomeLane in 2024.

The funding comes as India’s quick commerce sector expands well beyond its grocery roots. What started as a model for delivering daily essentials has steadily moved into categories such as electronics, beauty and personal care, fashion, medicines, home improvement, and construction materials, as startups look to address a wider range of urgent consumer and business needs.

Driving this expansion is India’s quick commerce market, which is projected to grow to $68 Bn by 2031 from $8.3 Bn in 2026, at a compound annual growth rate of 52%. Investors are aggressively backing startups looking to disrupt sectors through quick commerce.

For instance, Inc42 exclusively reported in March that HomeRun, which also operates in the construction and home improvement materials sector, is in talks to raise ₹100 Cr.
