Boba Bhai Claims 1.5X YoY Jump In FY26 Revenue To ₹70 Cr

Quick service restaurant (QSR) brand Boba Bhai saw its net revenue surge 145% to around ₹70 Cr in FY26 from ₹28 Cr in the previous fiscal year, founder Dhruv Kohli told Inc42.
In terms of bottom line performance, Kohli shared that the startup’s net loss widened by 32% to ₹12.5 Cr from ₹9.5 Cr loss incurred in the previous fiscal.
The three-year old startup’s top line was driven equally by Boba Bhai’s line of food and beverages products. The startup, which gained initial recognition for its flagship bubble tea variants, doubled down on food options with Korean burgers in 2025.
“I would say the food is already contributing about 50% of the revenue whereas the drinks contribute the remaining 50% of the revenue. So, it’s a 50-50 ratio now”, Kohli added.
In the fiscal, Boba Bhai recorded a same store sales growth in the range of 30-40% YoY.
Without disclosing the overall expenses amount, Kohli claimed the highest spending of around ₹24 Cr, went into purchase of raw materials. Following which, it spent a fair share into salaries, wages and marketing.
Boba Bhai recently raised ₹40 Cr in a funding round co-led by existing backers 8i Ventures, Titan Capital Winners Fund and Global Growth Capital. Overall, Boba Bhai has raised over $9 Mn from investor Titan Capital, DeVC, Warmup Ventures, Honasa’s Varun Alagh, among others.
The founder claims that Boba Bhai is currently the largest player in the bubble tea and Korean food market, maintaining a 60-70% market share over the past three years.
As per the founder, a large chunk of Boba Bhai’s consumers are Gen Z. To better reach out to the new-age consumer, the foodtech startup would be strengthening its brand presence on quick commerce platforms rather than traditional FMCG channels.
To better penetrate the market, the startup is planning to launch coconut jelly based beverages and a Korean chips range in the near future. It intends to sell these products via physical retail as well as from quick commerce platforms.
For the ongoing fiscal year FY27, Boba Bhai is eyeing a 200-250% growth in its top line. The startup intends to double down on the markets it is currently present in to attain profitability. Boba Bhai is currently present in eight cities.
“We won’t expand any more new markets for at least the upcoming six months. Once we attain profitability at a company level, we will be looking to expand to Kolkata and Ahmedabad,” Kohli said.
