Babycare-focused quick commerce startup Peeko has raised $7 Mn (₹67.4 Cr) in its Series A funding round led by Chiratae Ventures. The round also saw participation from existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners among other angel investors.

With this, Peeko has now raised about ₹95 Cr in total, including the ₹28 Cr it raised last year.

The fresh capital will primarily be deployed towards expanding the startup’s presence in Bengaluru, improving its product assortment and building out its tech stack, cofounder Chetan Sharma told Inc42.

The startup currently has around 60 people on its team and plans to use a portion of the funds to hire for key positions as it expands its operations.

Peeko, which came out of stealth last year, was founded by former Leap Finance executives Chetan Sharma and Abhijit Gairola, along with ex-OYO Vivek Khetan. The startup operates a vertical quick commerce platform, delivering babycare products within an hour. Its product portfolio includes kid apparel, toys, shoes, accessories, hard goods, diapers, wipes, personal care products and baby food.

The startup currently has around 30,000 SKUs across three dark stores in Bengaluru, up from 5,000-6,000 SKUs at launch. Its platform houses more than 100 Indian and international brands, including Dr. Brown’s, Cetaphil, Sebamed, Mothercare and Pantaloons, Sharma said.

It operates three dark stores currently which allow it to deliver in about 55% pincodes across Bengaluru. Peeko plans to add three more dark stores by the end of the ongoing calendar year, allowing it to cover the entire city.

Beyond Bengaluru, Peeko would be looking to expand to other cities by early next year.

Bringing ‘Touch And Feel’ To Quick Commerce

Peeko looks to solve one of the most pressing needs of parents when purchasing babycare products online. Traditionally, new parents physically verify the touch and reel of a product  before paying for it.

The startup lets customers place orders via its app, following which a rider delivers the products to their doorstep and waits while they inspect them. Customers can keep what they want and return the rest, with refunds processed instantly at the doorstep.

According to Peeko, most customers use this “touch and feel” option during their first transaction. This, subsequently, improves retention.

“Touch and feel becomes a very central proposition along with the right selection,” Sharma said. Buoyed by this, Peeko’s revenue has grown nearly 5X since the beginning of 2026 despite its limited geographical presence.

Peeko also plans to go beyond quick commerce and position itself as a parenting partner for new-age parents. The startup plans to experiment with AI-led products that can guide parents in making the right choices and support them through their parenting journey. It already provides detailed product information to help parents understand what to look for when making purchase decisions.

Peeko competes with Ozi in the quick commerce space, with both platforms focusing on delivering baby products. However, Ozi currently caters to customers only in the Delhi NCR region.

The development comes as India’s babycare products market continues to expand. The market is projected to reach $9.72 Bn by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 11.78% between 2026 and 2031.

Simultaneously, the broader quick commerce market is growing at an unprecedented rate. As per Inc42’s report, quick commerce players are expected to clock $68 Bn in gross merchandise value (GMV) by 2031, up from $8.3 Bn in 2026. This translates into an almost 8X increase over the five-year period, at a CAGR of 52%.
