Its operating revenue rose 55% to ₹1,823 Cr from ₹1,176 Cr in FY25, driven by growth in consultations, international markets, and ecommerce, according to the audited consolidated financial statement.

Profit before tax nearly quadrupled to ₹296 Cr from ₹75 Cr a year earlier.

International Markets Drive Growth

Ecommerce Outpaces Consultation Growth

Consultations delivered through chat, calls, and video remained Astrotalk’s largest revenue source, generating ₹1,657 Cr in FY26, up 45% from ₹1,139 Cr a year earlier. The business accounted for about 91% of operating revenue.

Meanwhile, ecommerce revenue more than quadrupled to ₹166 Cr from ₹37 Cr in FY25. Its share of operating revenue increased to 9.1% from 3.1%.

Astrotalk Store sells spiritual products, including rudraksha, gemstones, crystals, and Vastu products, through its own platforms and third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Blinkit.

Launched in November 2024, the ecommerce business forms part of Astrotalk’s push beyond consultations. Gupta previously told Inc42 that the startup had invested ₹40 Cr in building inventory, strengthening supply chains, and adding product categories after an initial investment of ₹30 Lakh.

The startup has also outlined plans for offline stores and a separate gemstones offering.

“We set out to build a diversified, global business from India, and FY26 shows it is working. A third of our revenue now comes from outside India, and Astrotalk Store has grown into a real second business,” said Puneet Gupta, founder and CEO of Astrotalk.

He further added, “The reason we are growing rapidly is that we are able to create a positive impact in the lives of our customers.”

Cash Reserves Strengthen

Astrotalk’s cash flow from operations increased 21% YoY to ₹229 Cr in FY26.

Its year-end cash and investments rose 41.1% to ₹917 Cr from ₹650 Cr. This included cash, bank deposits, mutual funds, and bonds.

The startup said it funded its FY26 investments through internal cash flows, supporting its expansion into international markets and new business lines without relying on fresh external capital.

Founded in 2017 by Puneet Gupta and Anmol Jain, Astrotalk connects users with astrologers and charges for consultations on its platform. It has raised $34 Mn to date from investors including Left Lane Capital and Elev8 Venture Partners.

In August this year, Astrotalk joined the unicorn club following an ESOP buyback at a $1 Bn valuation.

The startup competes against the likes of InstaAstro, Astroyogi, AstroSage Kundli, among others.
