Arivihan Nets $10.2 Mn To Scale Its AI Tutoring Platform

AI-driven edtech startup Arivihan raised $10.2 Mn (about ₹98 Cr) in its Series A funding round co-led by existing backers Accel and Prosus Ventures.
While Accel and Prosus together infused $10 Mn, the remaining $200K came from angel investors associated with accelerator GSF, namely Dinesh Chandra Agrawal, Dinesh Gulati and Rajesh Sawhney.
In a statement, Arivihan said that it plans to utilise the capital to expand its geographical footprint across India, launch new offerings for CBSE students, strengthen its AI and vernacular language capabilities, scale performance marketing and bolster on-ground distribution.
“AI has finally made it possible to deliver truly personalised online education that can match the effectiveness of bespoke and expensive in-person coaching. We believe that Arivihan’s AI tutor is the first at-scale demonstration of that thesis in the country, having already enabled several lakh students bring their best selves in consequential exams,” said Accel’s Anagh Prasad.
Founded in 2022 by IIT Roorkee alumni Ritesh Singh Chandel, Sonu Kumar and Rushabh Kothari, Arivihan claims to be a fully-automated AI tutoring platform for school students.
The Indore-based startup offers interactive video lectures, doubt resolution and tailored study plans without any involvement of human teachers.
It currently caters to state board, CBSE and NEET aspirants, with a focus on Class 12 students in tier-II and tier-III cities as well as rural areas. Tier 3 and rural students account for 80% of its subscribers, per cofounder Chandel.
The startup claims to cater to students in states such as Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar.
With the latest round, Arivihan has raised more than $15 Mn in funding to date. It last raised $4.2 Mn in its pre-Series A round in July last year. Prior to this, it also bagged seed funding from Accel’s Atoms accelerator programme in 2024.
The fundraise comes amid renewed investor confidence in the Indian edtech sector after years of stagnant revenues, consolidation, funding winter, haphazard expansion and monetisation issues. Homegrown edtech ventures managed to attract just $249 Mn in funding in 2025, down 56% YoY, while deal count tanked 35% YoY to 31.
In line with the trend, upGrad recently acquired rival Unacademy for just $200 Mn, valuing the latter at barely 6% of its peak valuation.
However, AI appears to have opened up new opportunities for edtech startups betting on personalised offerings. For instance, former Vedantu executive Ravneet Singh’s new venture ProLearn bagged ₹30 Cr in pre-seed funding in June to offer AI-powered learning companions to K-12 students.
Myntra and Cult.fit cofounder Mukesh Bansal and former Flipkart CTO Peeyush Ranjan also teamed up to launch an AI-based coaching platform Fermi earlier this year.
