Apple Logs Record June Quarter In India As Mac Sales Surge

Apple’s India business continued its strong growth trajectory in the June quarter, with the iPhone maker reporting another record performance in the country on the back of strong double-digit revenue growth and robust demand for its Mac lineup. 

The latest performance marks another record June quarter for Apple in India, reinforcing the country’s growing importance in the company’s global growth strategy. 

During Apple’s fiscal Q3 FY26 earnings call, CEO Tim Cook said the company achieved June quarter revenue records across every geographic segment, including India. 

“We achieved June quarter revenue records in every geographic segment. We were pleased to see strength across the board with June quarter records in the US, Latin America, Western Europe, India, China Mainland, Japan, and Southeast Asia,” Cook said.

Apple CFO Kevan Parekh said India delivered strong double-digit revenue growth during the quarter, with Mac emerging as one of the standout performers. 

“The customer reception to MacBook Neo has been incredible,” Parekh said, adding that Mac recorded its best-ever quarter for new customers and upgraders globally, including in India. 

This comes as Apple continues to deepen its presence in India, expanding beyond its flagship iPhone business into a broader ecosystem spanning Macs, iPads, wearables and services. 

India has also become increasingly important to Apple’s global manufacturing strategy. The company has significantly expanded local iPhone production in recent years through its manufacturing partners, with the country emerging as one of Apple’s largest production bases outside China. iPhone exports from India crossed ₹2 Lakh Cr in FY26.

Apple Flags Supply Constraints

While demand remained strong, Apple cautioned that supply constraints could affect shipments of several of its products in the coming quarters.

Cook said the shortages are primarily being driven by limited availability of advanced semiconductor manufacturing capacity used for Apple’s custom silicon, along with constraints around memory components.

“The constraints were primarily driven by the availability of the advanced nodes that our SoCs are produced on,” he said. 

He added that Apple is facing “very significant constraints” and has limited flexibility to ease the supply bottlenecks in the near term.

The company expects the constraints to affect availability of iPhones, Macs and iPads globally, which could also have an impact on markets such as India if component shortages persist.

Globally, Apple reported a record June quarter, with revenue rising 16% YoY to $109.4 Bn. Profit rose 27% YoY to $29.8 Bn. 

Looking ahead, Apple expects growth to moderate in the September quarter due to supply constraints and foreign exchange pressures. CFO Kevan Parekh said the company expects revenue growth of 9%-11% year-on-year, with supply limitations affecting iPhone, Mac and iPad shipments.
