AI Concierge Startup Hulp Raises $2.6 Mn From Sparrow Capital, BITKRAFT

Household assistance startup Hulp has raised $2.6 Mn (about ₹25 Cr) in a seed funding round led by VC firms Sparrow Capital and BITKRAFT Ventures.

While early stage VC DeVC also participated in the round, multiple angel investors including PB Fintech cofounder and chairman Yashish Dahiya, also participated in the round.

The Delhi NCR-based startup will deploy the fresh capital to scale its AI platform, hire senior leaders, and strengthen technology infrastructure to expand service coverage across metro cities.

Founded in 2026 by ex-Policybazaar CBO Tarun Mathur, alongside ex-Mitgo India MD Neha Kulwal and Vishal Singh Khutel, Hulp operates a concierge service that combines AI automation with dedicated human assistants. Users can contact assistants through WhatsApp or its mobile app and delegate tasks through a voice note.

The platform claims to handle daily tasks across more than 15 categories including kitchen management, runner services, administrative filings, travel and event bookings, and restaurant reservations.

It plans to expand operations into Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai over the next two years.

India’s affluent consumers are projected to cross the 10 Cr mark by 2027, according to a report by Goldman Sachs Research. New-age tech companies are increasingly aiming to cater to this market, driving the rise of the convenience economy.

Quick commerce and instant home services are the most widely known examples of how this trend is playing out. However, startups offering concierge services are also seeking to serve the needs of aspirational Indians.

Notably, food delivery giant Swiggy operates in this segment, offering on-demand concierge services for wealthy customers via its Crew app. Former American Express executive Manoj Adlakha’s bootstrapped venture RedBeryl, founded in 2023, is another notable player whose services are invite-only and span a range of categories from fine dining to sports and entertainment.

Last year, Indulge Global of Shark Tank fame also bagged $1 Mn funding to scale its own luxury concierge services platform.
