Arboreal Bioinnovations Raises ₹230 Cr To Supply Nutrition Ingredients To Brands

AI startup Kily has raised a ₹30 Cr ($3.2 Mn) in a funding round led by early stage VC firm Sorin Investments. Other investors that partook in the round included IPO-bound fintech major Razorpay and VC firm Wyser Capital.

Kily will use the fresh capital to strengthen its product capabilities and go-to-market initiatives, as well as accelerate platform adoption for major Indian consumer brands.

Founded in 2025 by ex-Flipkart and Affle executives Sankalp Mehrotra, Anurag Singh, and Sharad Chitlangia, Kily develops autonomous AI agents to help consumer brands drive growth on ecommerce and quick commerce startups.

The startup claims it has already partnered with leading brands including FMCG major ITC.

Its agents integrate real-time signals from marketplaces with the client brand’s objectives, operating constraints, and context to automate workflows and decide. It can help brands optimise variables like product visibility, advertising efficiency, pricing and inventory availability.

“Brands and online sellers today operate in an increasingly fragmented ecosystem, where growth and profitability depend on making thousands of decisions across marketplaces every day. Kily is built to bring autonomy to commerce management, enabling brands and their partners to execute faster, make better decisions and scale profitably,” cofounder and CEO Mehrotra said.

The investment comes at a time when businesses across industries are aggressively turning towards AI to streamline operations and manual workflows. And investors are increasingly taking note of platforms providing such solutions.

In the Indian context, there’s no better example than that of Emergent, whose AI agents allow entrepreneurs and small businesses to build software and websites without deep technical knowledge or experience. The startup became India’s third homegrown AI unicorn and sixth unicorn of 2026 when it raised $130 Mn in a Series C funding round earlier this year.

Another prominent name in the emerging Indian AI space is Sarvam, which also joined the unicorn club this year after raising $234 Mn as part of its $300 Mn Series B funding round. Additionally, the startup hosted the first edition of its developer conference, Sarvam Epoch, this week, where it unveiled its ambitions of building an end-to-end AI stack

Freehand, a startup focusing on agentic AI for enterprise supply chain operations, raised $75 Mn just last week as well.

Zooming out, Indian AI startups raised $676 Mn across 57 deals in the first half of 2026, per Inc42’s ‘Indian Tech Startup Funding Report’. This capital inflow amounted to a 4X jump compared to the same period last year.
